What can we say about Rochelle & Jeremy, except that they are totally a Staja Studios kind of client!  We hit it off right away during their engagement session and had an absolute great time.  We started off near Lake Calhoun for a touch of the lake and natural surroundings.  We were blessed with perfect weather and some beautiful evening light.  After that, we made our way up to Calhoun Square in Uptown Minneapolis to finish.  We wanted to use the city streets and window lights for a seductive finish to the session.  Clearly, they didn't struggle in that department!  Rochelle and Jeremy are SO in love!!  After all the photo fun was over, we headed to Old Chicago for some appetizers and good conversation.  Thank you guys for putting your all into it!  We are excited to spend your big day with you next year.

Tonia and Matt had a two part engagement session, as they wanted a variety of images.  Stacey and I did the first one the night before I left for Tanzania.  We started out around the Guthrie and then moved onward to the the St. Anthony Main / Stone Arch Bridge area.  Afterward, they decided they wanted to capture a few images from where they started off together in the North Loop District of Minneapolis.

For that session, we let Chelsea run the show, and I came along for support.  During the course of this shoot, we learned that Tonia and Matt have a little bit of a competitive streak.  Tonia played basketball for three national championship teams with University of North Dakota.  Matt on the other hand played football for South Dakota State.  Needless to say when I challenged them to have a head to head race, their competitive juices became blatantly clear!  As you can see below, Matt let his inner Usain Bolt come out and struck a winning pose!  Stacey and I are both looking forward to their destination wedding in Mexico!

What a great couple to have for my first semi-solo shoot! We met Autumn and Chad at Como Park on a very gorgeous Friday night. These two jumped right into the groove of things, posing themselves for me, making everything go by that much smoother. After walking along some of parks' paths, Stacey pointed out Como Town Amusement Park! What a great idea. It was awesome to watch the crowds separate to let us through. I had such a fun time, not only taking pictures, but also laughing pretty much the entire time!!! Here are a few of my favorite shots from the night, enjoy!

We met up with Aly and Mike (and Oakley, the super cool boxer) down by St. Anthony Main.  What an great little family they make!  Turns out Oakley is VERY jealous of Aly, particularly when Mike and Aly are kissing or hugging.  So funny!  We spent some time getting shots of the three of them and then let Oakley go home with her aunt.  It was our goal to capture both Mike and Aly's personalities with this session and believe me, they are on opposite sides of the spectrum:)  You know what they say about opposites though.  These guys have such fabulous chemistry and are such an awesome and dynamic couple!  We ended the night at the W for drinks and as it turned out ALOT of Michael Jackson music.  We hope you guys had as much fun as we did!
Here are a few shots from the evening.

Stacey

They say it's never too late to teach an old dog new tricks, similarly, it's never too late to try something new for an engagement session!  We had so much fun with Caitlin and Mike (aka Musky Mike) on their fishing engagement shoot.  We have to say we are awfully disappointed though as we were guaranteed that Mike would be able to catch a fish within five minutes.  Let's just say it's a good thing we aren't the mob or there might have been a man overboard!  That's alright, we forgive you Mike :)

We met near Lake Minnetonka in Wayzata; however, it happened to be a very busy night so we ventured off to another bay and docked from there (after finding a parking spot which was not easy).  We did some shots of them fishing while in the boat and then as the sunset it was time to get some images we had been envisioning since we first talked about a fishing e-session.  Thankfully the sun cooperated and we were able to get some beautiful silhouettes with the sun setting, just like we had hoped for.

Needless to say we had a lot of fun, and Cailin and Mike have some fun images that are 100% them!
